Top Three Game Console Review | Power Raft

Gaming is fast becoming the most popular form of entertainment for many people. If you are looking for a game console that will keep you entertained, this article is definitely the right one for you. I will be reviewing three of the top game consoles today namely, Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. I personally prefer Nintendo Wii, because of its motion-sensing capability, but my choice doesn?t necessarily be yours.

Nintendo Wii is the first-ever game console that introduces the motion-sensing controllers. These are wireless controllers that tracks the movements of the players, while converting them to in-game character movements in real-time. Considered as the best game console for the whole family, Nintendo allows the players to participate in the game physically. Another cool feature the Wii offers is the Wii Connect 24 that allows the players to connect to the Internet, and even compete with other Wii players.

Playstation 3 offers a lot of cool features and is popular among gamers who love role-playing games.

It has a Blu-ray player that allows the user to play Blu-Ray games and even movies. It comes with a 20 GB and a massive 60 GB hard disk. Some other cool features of PS3 are the Bluetooth 2.0, HDMI 1.3a, and Gigabit Ethernet. PS3 also allows players to play online using the live network of Sony.

Xbox 360 is very popular for players who love first-person shooting games. Packed with a DVD player and Xbox Live, this game console is considered as the sixth best game console of all time. The Xbox Live allows you to play popular games like Halo and Call of Duty with other users of Xbox through an online portal.

These are some of the features that the top game consoles offer. Of course, different people may prefer different game consoles, and this should help you in deciding the best console for you.

Jay-Z Teases All-'N---as In Paris' Set For City Of Light Concert

'That may be the only song we do for the night,' Hov jokes to MTV News of his and Kanye West's Paris performance.

Jay-Z and Kanye West have an army of hits between them, but let's face it, when the Throne touch the stage in Paris on Friday and Saturday, there is going to be one song and one song only that really get the people going: "N---as in Paris."

"That may be the only song we do for the night," Jay-Z joked to MTV News with his usual Jay-Z giggle. "That's it, just a set list."

It may sound far-fetched, but considering that he and Yeezy dropped their ubiquitous hit multiple times during their North American tour, we wouldn't be surprised if the Throne breaks a performance record for "N---as in Paris." The duo rocked the song a whopping 11 times during their Vancouver, Canada, concert back in December.

The popularity of their catchy single isn't the most surprising thing to Hov though. Jigga seems more jazzed at the number of folks who were traveling from the U.S. to France to see him and 'Ye rock the mic. " 'Paris' in Paris is gonna be insane. Everyone is traveling over there. I don't know how we're gonna fit everyone in this building," the God MC told us back on May 14 when he was in Philadelphia to announce his Made in America music festival. "Every day another person comes up to me like, 'Yo, I'll see you in Paris,' and they're from here, they're from all over the States. So I don't know, I'm expecting a zoo in Paris."

Famous friends like Spike Lee have been tweeting about the pilgrimage. "I'm About To Take Off From JFK With A Planeload Of Black Folks To See Kanye/Jay-Z Do N---as In Paris In Paris, France," the "Do the Right Thing" director wrote on Thursday before takeoff.

Rep your city: Where have you seen the Throne perform?

FOR KIDS: How creativity powers science

Some of the best ideas come not from poring over the facts but from a walk in the woods

Web edition : 10:38 am

Ask most people to identify a creative person, and they?ll probably describe an artist ? Picasso, Shakespeare or even Lady Gaga.

But what about a Nobel prize?winning chemist? Or a team of engineers that figures out how to make a car engine operate more efficiently? Creativity, it turns out, is not only the domain of painters, singers and playwrights, says Robert DeHaan, a retired Emory University cell biologist who now studies how to teach creative thinking.

?Creativity is the creation of an idea or object that is both novel and useful,? he explains. ?Creativity is a new idea that has value in solving a problem, or an object that is new or useful.? And its at the heart of good science.

You're getting a break at the pump this summer

Joe Raedle / Getty Images

Over the Memorial Day holiday, fuel prices dipped to around $3.65 a gallon, about 27 cents lower than their national peak in early April.

By Paul A. Eisenstein, The Detroit Bureau

It wasn?t all that long ago that American motorists were being greeted with shrill headlines forecasting $4, even $5-a-gallon gas by summer.

It certainly seemed plausible after the rapid run-up during late winter and early spring, prices at the pump coming within pennies of the all-time record set back in July 2008.? But a funny thing has happened just as the traditional driving season approached: fuel prices began to tumble and the downward trend may well continue through the summer.

Over the Memorial Day holiday various tracking services showed that fuel prices dipped to around $3.65 a gallon, about 27 cents lower than their national peak in early April.

VW Beetle: Mini 911 or a Big Mistake?

?Had you asked me back in January if the national average would have been that low on Memorial Day, I likely would have chuckled,? said Patrick DeHaan, a senior analyst with GasBuddy.com.? Looking forward, he told TheDetroitBureau.com, ?prices could go either way,? depending upon a variety of factors, though for now, the trend appears to be downward.

The tracking service shows that just since the holiday pump prices have continued sliding: to a national average of $3.646 today, down from $3.807 at the beginning of May.? In fact, rather than seeing a record high, motorists are now paying less than they did a year ago, when the price of a gallon of unleaded regular averaged $3.779 at self-serve pumps.

?I?m not sure who to thank, but I?ll take it,? laughed motorist Jerry Benjamin after filling up his big Chevrolet Suburban at Sunny?s Sunoco in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan. ?If I can save a quarter a gallon on a tank like this that?s $5, $10 a week extra for me and the family.?

Who to thank ? like whom to blame for the spring run-up ? is a complex topic.?

Chrysler Killing Town & Country, Keeping Dodge Caravan

One might be tempted to point fingers at Washington, and certainly, Pres. Barack Obama came under fire when fuel prices started nearing $4 a gallon.? His challenger for the White House, Mitt Romney, said last month that the president, "gets full credit or blame for what's happened to this economy and what's happened to gasoline prices under his watch."

In reality, suggested GasBuddy?s DeHaan, the White House was responsible for neither this year?s run-up in fuel prices nor its sharp decline.? Among the factors he and other analysts cite:

  • A fire at a Washington State refinery last February led to short supplies of gas, especially on the West Coast, a situation that worsened as other refineries scheduled maintenance or lost production during the annual switch to summer-blend fuels designed to reduce emissions in hot weather;
  • Demand has been surging in China, India and other emerging markets stretching thin global petroleum supply lines and refinery capacity;
  • The nascent economic recovery in the U.S. led petroleum traders to bid up fuel prices even further.

But the recovery has been going slower than expected, putting downward pressure on pricing.? And so has the fact that Americans are not only driving less but are migrating to more fuel-efficient vehicles.? A study by the Brookings Institute reveals that the average vehicle clocked only 9,500 miles in 2011, roughly the same mileage as in 1997.

Then there?s the economic crisis in Europe.? With Spain?s economy in free-fall and Greece facing the prospect of having to abandon the common currency the value of the Euro has been tumbling against the dollar. ?And that?s driving oil prices down,? according to analyst DeHaan.

Maserati, Ferrari, Lambo Plants Shuttered After Earthquake

As of Wednesday morning, benchmark crude prices had dipped below $90 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, largely due to concerns about Europe, marking a 15% decline in just four weeks.

"Fears of contagion amid Greek and Spanish debt and economic issues will continue to force downward revision in global economic growth and hence world oil demand," wrote energy trader and consultant Ritterbusch and Associates in a new report.

But ?volatility is increasing all the time,? he warns, offering a long list of factors that could see motorists hammered once again: that includes the still-unresolved issues of Iran?s nuclear program; the possibility of a positive resolution in Greece; further increases in demand by China and other emerging markets; and a significant upturn in the U.S. economy.

Initial data suggest that American motorists celebrated their good fortunes by climbing behind the wheel over the long Memorial Day weekend. The AAA estimated 30.7 million people took trips requiring drives of more than 50 miles, an increase of 400,000, this year.? Meanwhile, the American Petroleum Institute reported demand for gasoline surged 0.9% in April compared to 0.3% for the year overall, suggesting usage could be rising fast.

But for now, at least, motorists are getting a much-needed break, according to Tom Kloza, the chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service, and any talk of record gas prices is likely well off into the future.

Heat Beat Celtics In Overtime, 115-111: Miami Wins Game 2 Despite Rajon Rondo's 44 Points (VIDEO)

MIAMI ? The biggest postseason comeback in Miami Heat franchise history wasn't enough.

The Heat needed more ? and got it, digging deep to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals.

LeBron James scored 34 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Dwyane Wade scored 23 and the Heat rallied from 15 down to beat the Boston Celtics 115-111 in overtime on Wednesday night.

Mario Chalmers scored 22 for the Heat, who won despite an unbelievable night by Rajon Rondo. The Celtics guard played all 53 minutes and scored 44 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds.

Paul Pierce scored 21 points, Kevin Garnett added 18 and Ray Allen 13 for Boston.

Allen's 3-pointer with 34.3 seconds left tied the game at 99-all. James missed two shots, first a layup ? he got the rebound of his own miss ? and then a jumper on the final possession of regulation, and to overtime they went.

Game 3 is Friday in Boston.

The Heat had come back from 14 points down in playoff games twice before, first in Game 6 of the 2006 NBA finals ? their title clincher ? and again last season against Philadelphia.

And this one was slipping away, more than once. James also two free throws 21 seconds into overtime, and Miami looked in trouble.

The scoring dossier in overtime began like this: Rondo scored, Heat tied it, Rondo scored, Heat tied it, Rondo scored, Heat tied it.

When Rondo missed a layup with 1:33 left, Miami took advantage, with Udonis Haslem getting a dunk to put the Heat up 105-103. And after a turnover on the next Boston possession, Wade drove the lane, hit the deck and watched as his layup bounced on the rim and dropped through.

Garnett stood over Wade and glared, to no avail. Wade hit the free throw, and Miami was up 110-105 with 59.7 seconds left.

On a night where the Heat missed 16 free throws ? including at least four by James in crucial situations ? they would survive.

Miami was down by 15 in the first half and by as many as 11 in the third quarter, before a pair of 3-pointers by James started a comeback. Wade made consecutive jumpers midway through the third to shake off a slow start to his night and get the Heat within three both times, and the 2006 NBA finals MVP set up Haslem for a three-point play with 2:55 left that gave Miami its first lead since the opening minutes, 73-71.

As Haslem's shot dropped, Wade spun at midcourt and punched the air. More highlights followed.

Miami's lead got to as much as seven in the third after James blocked Pierce's shot near the rim, sending the ball high into the air and starting a sequence that was capped by a three-point play from Wade, pushing the margin to 78-71. It capped a 12-0 run for the Heat, who took an 81-75 lead into the fourth.

It was the fifth straight game where Miami outscored its opponent by double-digits in the third quarter. In each of the previous four of those outings, Miami never trailed in the final period.

That streak ended in this one.

And a call that Boston argued against played a big role in the Celtics getting the lead back.

James stole the ball from Rondo early in the fourth, drove down the court and got wrapped up by Mickael Pietrus, who was assessed a clear-path foul, meaning Miami got two free throws and the ball. James missed both foul shots, Mike Miller missed a 3-pointer later in the possession, and the lead stayed at 85-81.

Barely a minute later, it was gone. Pietrus hit a 3-pointer, Rondo followed with a steal and layup and Boston led 86-85. The Celtics led by five with 3:50 left after a jumper by Pierce, and the Celtics looked to be in control.

It was temporary. The Heat scored the next nine points, Haslem's jumper with 1:08 remaining put Miami up 98-94. So of course, back came Boston ? Allen's 3-pointer tying the game a few moments after Pierce fouled out.

Early on, it was all Boston. Over the first 15-plus minutes, Boston was shooting 65 percent (15 for 23), Miami 27 percent (7 for 26).

Miami's point guard did his best to keep the Heat close.

Chalmers had 12 in the second quarter and seven in a 14-6 Miami spurt to end the half. He hit a pair of 3-pointers during the flurry, Wade got his first points of the night on a falling-down layup with 27 seconds left and the Heat closed the margin to 53-46 by halftime.

NOTES: Celebrities in attendance included UCLA coach Ben Howland, rapper Flo Rida and former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, a regular in the Heat crowd. ... Rondo's other 22-point first half was Feb. 22, 2009 at Phoenix. ... Allen, considered one of the game's absolute best shooters for many years, said he's been getting plenty of unsolicited advice lately on how to get rolling again. "I've only been doing this for 20 years," Allen said at the morning shootaround. ... Haslem (6) had more rebounds than Boston (5) in the third quarter. ... Heat C Ronny Turiaf started, played the first 4:51 and did not return. Joel Anthony started the second half in Turiaf's place.
