"I think you will see that my speech is heartfelt, and I think a lot of you have been covering me long enough and you know that I've never gone off a written text so this is a unique experience for me to actually have something written? No one has ever written a speech for me," she said. "[There was] a lot of tweaking where I felt like I was getting what I really wanted to say from my heart."

Tuesday will be the first time Romney has ever used a TelePrompter?and she bluntly admitted, "I don't like it."

Romney said she was "excited" about the space and laughed about how nitpicky her husband and his campaign aides were being about details like what she'll wear Tuesday?adding that the "verdict is still out" on her clothing choice.

"The funniest thing of all is that Stuart Stevens who wears his shirts inside out is advising me on what dress I should wear tonight. So I know I've really come full circle now," Romney said of her husband's senior strategist. "Frankly, I didn't realize that Stuart had to weigh in on this--or my husband. It was going to be like my wedding night; I wasn't going to let him know what I was going to wear. But now they have opinions."

Arizona voters picking GOP nominee for US Senate

PHOENIX (AP) ? Arizona voters headed to the polls Tuesday to settle an unexpectedly feisty Republican U.S. Senate primary battle marked by accusations of hypocrisy, broken promises and flip-flopping.

Six-term U.S. Rep. Jeff Flake and wealthy businessman Wil Cardon were the front-runners vying for the GOP nomination to replace retiring Sen. Jon Kyl.

Tuesday's Arizona elections also would oust of one of two Republican House members, both freshmen pitted against each other by redistricting. Five other House incumbents, including former Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' hand-picked successor, faced challengers.

Voters in Alaska, Oklahoma and Vermont also were deciding House races.

In Oklahoma, Westville plumbing company owner Markwayne Mullin defeated three-term state Rep. George Faught in a runoff for the Republican nomination for the seat being vacated by Democratic Rep. Dan Boren. And longtime state and federal prosecutor Rob Wallace, of Fort Gibson, beat Muskogee seed company owner Wayne Herriman in the Democratic runoff.

Windsor businessman John MacGovern handily defeated a Republican primary opponent in the Vermont race to challenge independent U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders in November.

And five Democrats in Alaska were vying for the chance to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Don Young, who has held his seat for 40 years. Young had two challengers but was expected to easily win his primary.

In Arizona, Democrats were hoping the surprisingly aggressive ? and expensive ? challenge from Cardon to Flake, who was widely seen as the favorite in the race, will give them their best shot in years at taking one of the state's two Senate seats.

A push by moderate Democrat Richard Carmona, a former surgeon general under President George W. Bush, comes as the GOP is fighting to pick up four more seats to wrest control of the chamber in advance of votes on key policy issues such as the possible repeal of President Barack Obama's health care law and changes to the tax code.

Arizona hasn't elected a Democrat to the Senate since Dennis DeConcini won his third term in 1988, but Democrats are hoping the primary attacks on Flake have weakened his standing and his bank account.

"Jeff Flake has been a little wounded by the primary," said Jim Pederson, a former Democratic Party chairman who lost an expensive race to Kyl six years ago. "I think a lot of the issues that Wil brought up will kind of resonate with people. I think (the general election) is going to be very close."

Cardon spent $6 million of his own money trying to paint Flake as a Washington insider who reneged on past promises to limit his terms in office. Opponents pointed to Flake's little-known past as a Washington lobbyist for a uranium mine that was minority-owned by Iran. He also criticized Flake, saying he made a dramatic change on immigration, going from a supporter of comprehensive reform to backing policies that would first secure the border.

For his part, Cardon was accused of painting himself as tough on immigration, while a company he partly owned was fined for faulty paperwork in hiring workers with questionable legal status.

Cardon was widely seen as having begun to cede the race in the past month, turning positive in his campaign messages and ending months of expensive television ads.

One or both major parties had primary races in all nine of Arizona's U.S. House districts, including the two-incumbent rivalry between freshman Republican Reps. Ben Quayle and David Schweikert in the 6th Congressional District centered on the Phoenix suburb of Scottsdale. Quayle moved into the district ? the bulk of which he previously represented ? after redistricting put him in a neighboring district considered more competitive with Democrats.

Barber, a former aide to Giffords, was elected in June to serve out her term after she resigned to concentrate on her recovery from being shot in the head during a January 2011 mass shooting in Tucson. He faced a challenge from Democrat Matt Heinz, a former state representative.

In most cases,?Social Media is the best source for acquiring quality traffic to a website. Due to the complex and intertwined interactions in your social media networks, this makes it quite difficult when it comes to Social Media analytics.

In my opinion, within?the?context of Traffic Acquisition, there are three major KPIs to consider for?measurement?with regards to your online presence in the social media world. They are:

1. Actions, when someone, including you, takes the initiative such as Like, Share, Re-Tweet, Comment or so on. This creates?opportunities for acquiring traffic form social media?networks.
2. Reactions, when someone visits your website as a result of Actions, and engages with your content.
3. Revenue, where Actions and Reactions result in sales.

No matter what your analytics BFF is, measuring the Action is about tracking all those Likes,?Shares, Comments and?similar,?and in analytics language, it is?usually?a click tracking which constitutes a little bit of coding.

Measuring Reaction however is about looking at traffic Referrals and filtering it out by known social media networks, or if you have tagged the URLs, checking out the Campaign report. In most cases you do both, simply because we have control on our?Actions, but not much on others?.

Using Google Analytics makes you very lucky because there is a way to get a report for Reactions simply by looking into Traffic Source > Social > Sources. If you have already set up event tracking for measuring Actions, it is a great idea to create a segment and figure out which Actions generates better Reactions.

Crock Pot Sugared Pecans - Yes

We have this fabulous hunting, fishing, camping, gun,?etc outdoor store called Bass Pro Shop.? To a man, and maybe some women, this is a Disneyland type place to be. This place is so big, they also have big boats on the inside.?My husband and sons can get lost in there for hours, possibly days if I didn't pitch a fit. As for me, I wander through their outdoor kitchen supplies, their food supply area and their gift shop and candy store.? Oh yes, candy store.? There they make these fabulous sugared pecans, almonds and walnuts.? When you first enter the store, the smell leads you straight to heaven!? So though I'm not thrilled at spending hours there, I'll do my wee bit of browsing and then head over to pick up a nice hot bag of candied nuts and then I'll head over to the western furniture area, pick a couch and hang out until the boys are done. It's a nice little escape and a rest area plus I have no choice but to relax and dream away while eating little candied dreams, one at a time.? I am praying this recipe is a close copy cat and my home can be transformed into the place where dreams are made and smells are heavenly. Plus, this is made in a crock pot...can it get better than that?

You will need:
>16 ounces pecans or walnut halves
>1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
>1/2 cup powdered sugar
>1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
>1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
>1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1. Turn slow cooker to HIGH about 15 minutes in advance. In hot slow cooker, stir together the nuts and butter.
2. Add the powdered sugar, stirring to blend and coat evenly. Cover and cook on HIGH for 15 minutes. Reduce the heat to LOW and remove lid; cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the nuts are coated with a crisp glaze.
3. Transfer the nuts to a bowl.
4. In another small bowl, combine the spices; sift over the nuts, stirring to coat evenly.
Let cool before serving.

So let's begin~
I gathered my ingredients.? I love it when a recipe only requires a few items and a crock pot, however when it comes to a crock pot, I love it more when it's a make it and forget about it.? I'm not keen on having to constantly pay attention to a crock pot, it defeats the purpose.
I mixed my butter and nuts in the crock pot.
I added the powdered sugar and stirred.? Then I put on the lid and continued the crock pot on high for 15 more minutes.

I took the lid off the crock pot and turned it onto low, stirring every so often.
I got my spices ready to sift onto the finished product.? Now I'm just waiting...salivating. I'm a little sad because I didn't realize that the spices don't get cooked, but just added onto the finished product.? I'm not smelling the fabulous smells like I was hoping I would.
After about?2 1/2?hours...not a lot of change. In fact, it had looked the same for over an hour in a half.? I decided to put it on high, stirring even more often.?? It was hours more of stirring before this even started glazing somewhat.
So forever later, I sifted the spices into the nuts.? It smelled like Christmas with the ginger coming through almost too strongly.

I was?pleasantly surprised.? They were pretty tasty, at their best while somewhat warm.? I wasn't thinking I'd like them because the smell was so very strong but it was quite tasty. My family alike really enjoyed these treats. It wasn't Bass Pro shops taste and?definitely not the same smell.? The one thing however I did not like was the cook time and the constant stirring.? This was almost more work than it was worth.? I would have preferred to cook it over the stove to just be done with it. Possibly you may be looking at a crock pot version because your stove is broken or you don't have one.? Maybe you are a teacher looking for easy non range things to do with kids.? Well, this may be right up your alley.? I am sure if I had 20 kids all taking turns stirring these nuts for 5 or so hours, I might not be so unhappy with the cook time. But the choice is yours.? Good morning. Hoping everyone in the islands south of us are doing? OK. I saw some pictures online from Martinique which looked like that island received quite? a bit of rain. For St. Maarten thankfully, Isaac has been the storm that wasn't. We had some heavy wind last night. Even this morning it is gusty with rain showers, but the sun keeps trying to shine through. We have had no significant rainfall from Isaac. We had wind steadily from the ENE yesterday and at 7:00 AM this morning the Met Office at the airport reported winds from the ESE at 20 MPH with rain showers. Wishing safe conditions for the islands still possibly in the line of fire. ?

Well, we have woken up to a grey, damp windy morning. The wind started picking up in the early hours and there is a little rain, not much though - so far. The gusts are quite strong and according to the local weather station are currently reaching up to ?70km/h. The Dutch side announced last night that the schools would re-open today and it even states in the local paper that the storm has passed - a bit premature I think! ? So far here on the French side, people seem to be going about their normal business this morning and hopefully things will not deteriorate further. ? It seems Issac has been a gentle giant so far. It is nice to have cool winds though! ? Carolyn

- I'm in wait and watch mode

Sitting in St. Maarten and waiting for Isaac. Currently Isaac is forecast to pass about 100 miles south of us overnight. Right now the weather is cloudy and breezy with occasional light rain. Everything seems pretty normal on the island. I haven?t seen any mad rush for gas or groceries. We did secure our boats and actually took the little Boston Whaler out of the water...just in case. My biggest concern from Isaac at this point is how much rain we will get from it. If we have problems it will be more from flooding rather than wind. So far so good today. We will see what the overnight hours bring. Wishing safe passage of Isaac to our Caribbean friends, and especially to the islands south of us. ? As of 11.00AM, Tropical Storm Isaac continues on its track towards the island of Guadeloupe. A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for the country of Sint Maarten. The Office of Disaster Management (ODM) advises the community to continue to monitor radio broadcast and weather reports throughout Wednesday for any additional information. Isaac?s rain bands have started to spread through the Lesser Antilles. The storm still maintains its forecasted track to move through the Leeward Islands Wednesday evening and into the North Eastern Caribbean Sea on Thursday. Tropical Storm Isaac at 11.00am according to the National Hurricane Center was located 140 miles East of Guadeloupe, and is moving West at 21 miles per hour. Maximum sustained winds are 45 miles per hour with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecasts during the next 48 hours and Isaac could become a Hurricane by Thursday. Well this morning the sky is grey and there is a good breeze but nothing too dramatic. the Dutch Government have announced schools are closed today but businesses open as normal. The cruise ship Allure of the Seas has cancelled its arrival for tomorrow. Here on the French side, everything is running as normal and have just seen a couple of trucks on the side of the road clearing any last minute debris. The seas are quite calm for now. ? Let's see what Issac brings us later today and tomorrow. ? Stay safe ? Carolyn
