Dan O?Dwyer and John O?Callaghan are this week?s guests on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Dan talks about how his home building strategies have changed to reflect a different kind of buyer, while John shares with us the work his non-profit is doing to solve Atlanta?s foreclosure crisis.
Our first guest is Dan O?Dwyer who is the president of O?Dwyer Homes. Dan has been in the home building industry for his entire career. Growing up, he was 
always the kid who built the coolest forts, and now he builds cool houses in and around Atlanta. In addition to his work as a homebuilder, he is also a member of the Greater Atlanta HBA and the past president of its designated charity, HomeAid Atlanta.
O?Dwyer Homes is a 100 percent Energy Star homebuilder who builds traditional homes and ranch villas both on the north side of Atlanta as well as intown. Our next guest is John O?Callaghan who is the president and CEO of Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership (ANDP). John is an Atlanta native who has worked with non-profit and government entities for the majority of his career.
ANDP is a not-for-profit organization formed 21 years ago in conjunction with the city of Atlanta?s housing initiative. The organization was originally created before the 1996 Olympics here in Atlanta in order to focus on rebuilding neighborhoods suffering from disinvestment. Today, they have expanded their work to include solving the foreclosure crisis. After the housing crash, ANDP realized that they didn?t need to build new homes, but instead needed to focus on stabilizing and rehabilitate the areas severely impacted by foreclosure.
